USC, Georgia, and Florida

.... all go down in the same weekend? Before you know it, we'll be stuck watching Ohio State get run off the field in another BCS Championship game.

I somehow won my only college football bet yesterday on Tennessee, as they covered in a close loss to Auburn.

Yesterday: 1-0, $200

Year to Date: 12-10, +$364

Trying another teaser on Sunday. This one does not involve Derek Anderson in any way:

(202) Jets +7.5 vs. Cardinals
(218) Bears +9.5 vs. Eagles

6.5 pointer costs -120. That's a far cry from those beautiful -101 bets I am allowed to make from time to time. If the Eagles can beat the Bears by double digits in Chicago, with all the injury problems they have on offense, I may start to take them for real. I may even call them a contender.

But I doubt it.

The Mets and Brewers are tied for the NL Wild Card lead with one day left in the regular season.

I wonder which one of them is more likely to choke.

Final day of the baseball regular season, the Washington Redskins are in Dallas to take on the despised Cowboys, and the Cup boys are in Kansas for another version of the Camping World RV 400.

I want to see the Mets sneak into the playoffs, the Skins celebrating one last time in the toilet bowl that is Texas Stadium, and, of course, the Lowe's 48 Chevy Impala in Victory Lane.

Enjoy the day.
